Day 1: Nairobi to Ol Pejeta Conservancy
Meals: Lunch, Dinner | Stay: Mutara Camp or Similar
Your safari begins in Nairobi with a warm welcome and a friendly safari briefing from your driver-guide. This is where you get to learn what to expect on your journey, the wildlife you may encounter, and how each day will unfold.
You will then leave the city behind and travel north towards Ol Pejeta Conservancy. The drive takes you through beautiful highland farmland, with tea and coffee plantations stretching across rolling hills. On a clear day, the majestic Mount Kenya can be seen rising proudly in the distance.
You'll arrive in time for lunch, followed by a short rest. In the afternoon, your first game drive begins. Ol Pejeta is known for its thriving wildlife populations including elephants, lions, rhinos, and many more. The conservancy is also home to Kenya’s only chimpanzee sanctuary and the last two northern white rhinos in the world, making it one of the most important conservation areas in Africa.
As the sun begins to set, you return to your lodge or camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Full Day in Ol Pejeta Conservancy
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner | Stay: Mutara Camp or Similar
Wake up to the fresh morning air of the wilderness. After breakfast, you spend the day exploring the conservancy in both morning and afternoon game drives. This relaxed pace allows you plenty of time to enjoy wildlife sightings as they naturally unfold.You may choose to visit the chimpanzee sanctuary to learn about their rescue and rehabilitation, or simply spend longer on game drives discovering the many habitats of Ol Pejeta.
Lunch can be enjoyed in camp or as a picnic out in the bush for uninterrupted time in nature. In the evening, return to camp for dinner and overnight, with the optional possibility of a night game drive to see rare nocturnal animals.
Day 3: Ol Pejeta to Lake Nakuru National Park
Meals: Break fast, Lunch, Dinner | Stay: Sarova Lion Hill or Similar
After breakfast, your journey continues to the Great Rift Valley, descending into Lake Nakuru National Park.You arrive in time for lunch and later set out for an afternoon game drive. Lake Nakuru is famous for its large populations of black and white rhinos, buffalo herds, graceful Rothschild giraffes, and a variety of birdlife including flamingos, when conditions allow.The calm lake waters and surrounding acacia forest offer beautiful scenery throughout your game viewing. You return to your accommodation in time for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Lake Nakuru to Maasai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, you will depart for the world-renowned Maasai Mara. As you approach the reserve, the landscape opens into vast sweeping grasslands where wildlife roams freely.
You arrive in time for lunch and a short rest before heading out for your first game drive in the Maasai Mara. You may encounter elephants moving across the plains, prides of lions resting in the shade, giraffes feeding among acacia trees, and herds of Widebeests, zebra and antelope grazing peacefully.
Return to camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Full Day in Maasai Mara

Today offers a full day to immerse yourself in the beauty of the Maasai Mara. After breakfast, you set out with a packed picnic lunch to allow for a full day of uninterrupted game viewing.
The Maasai Mara is renowned for incredible wildlife encounters and is one of the best places in Africa to see big cats such as lions, leopards and cheetahs. If visiting between July and October, you may also witness the Great Wildebeest Migration, where millions of animals cross the Mara River in a dramatic struggle for survival.
Lunch is enjoyed at a scenic spot within the reserve, often overlooking plains or the river where hippos and crocodiles can be observed. You return to camp in the evening for dinner and overnight.
Day 6: A Second Day in the Wild Lands of the Maasai Mara
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner | Stay: Sarova Mara Game Camp or Similar
Your final full day in the Maasai Mara begins with the soft morning light spreading across the savannah. If you choose, this is a wonderful opportunity to take a hot air balloon safari at sunrise. Floating gently above the plains offers a peaceful and breathtaking perspective of wildlife and landscapes below. The experience concludes with a special bush breakfast served in a quiet natural setting.
If you prefer to stay on the ground, you may enjoy an early morning game drive when wildlife is most active and the light is at its best for photography. Later in the day, you continue exploring new parts of the reserve, discovering fresh sightings and landscapes.
You also have the option to visit a Maasai village, where you can learn about the traditions, music, culture, and daily life of the Maasai people. This is a meaningful and personal cultural exchange that many travelers’ treasures.
Return to your lodge or camp in the evening for dinner and overnight, taking in your final night in the heart of the wild.
Day 7: Maasai Mara to Nairobi
Meals: Breakfast | Stay: OPtional Day Room Use
After breakfast, check out and begin your journey back to Nairobi. Upon arrival, you will be dropped at your hotel or at the airport, depending on your onward travel plans.
Your safari concludes here, filled with unforgettable memories of Kenya’s wildlife, landscapes, and culture.
