Day 1: Nairobi to Lake Naivasha via the Great Rift Valley

Begin your Kenya safari adventure with a morning pickup from your Nairobi hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. Journey westward through the scenic Great Rift Valley in a 4x4 Toyota Landcruiser, stopping at a picturesque viewpoint to marvel at sweeping views of this world-renowned geological Wonder. This panoramic stop is perfect for photos and orientation as your African safari begins.

Continue to the Serene shores of Lake Naivasha, a freshwater lake surrounded by lush vegetation and frequented by hippos and birds. Enjoy a peaceful boat ride on Lake Naivasha, sailing past submerged trees and curious hippos while spotting African fish eagles, kingfishers, and cormorants. Your peaceful boat ride will take you to Crescent Island, a unique wildlife sanctuary where you can walk among giraffes, zebras, impalas, and waterbucks in a quiet, predator-free environment.

Return to the lodge in time for lunch and some relaxation time, and prepare for an exciting evening visit to Hell’s Gate National Park. Known for its dramatic scenery and geothermal activity, Hell’s Gate offers a chance to cycle or hike through towering cliffs, volcanic formations, and gorges. Keep your eyes peeled for zebras, gazelles, and buffalo among the rocky terrain.

As the Sun Sets, return to Enashipai Resort and Spa and enjoy dinner under the stars. Listen to the distant calls of wildlife – an exciting way to start your Private Kenya safari.

Day 2: Lake Naivasha to Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast, drive to the nearby Lake Nakuru National Park, a compact yet biologically rich destination located in the heart of the Great Rift Valley. Arrive in time for lunch at Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge, followed by an afternoon game drive in the park.

Lake Nakuru is famous for its flamingo-lined shores, where thousands of pink birds gather in seasonal displays. The park also provides a sanctuary for endangered rhinos-both black and white species-as well as Rothschild’s giraffes, lions, leopards, and large herds of buffaloes. Keep your camera ready as you explore acacia woodlands, scenic cliffs, and expansive grasslands teeming with wildlife.

Return to your lodge for dinner and a restful evening immersed in the peaceful ambiance of Kenya’s Rift Valley. This park is also ideal for rhino safaris and birdwatching opportunities.

Day 3: Lake Nakuru to Maasai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, continue your Kenya safari journey southwest toward the legendary Maasai Mara National Reserve, one of Africa’s most celebrated wildlife destinations. Drive through scenic escarpments, Maasai villages, and open savannahs before arriving at your lodge /camp in time for lunch.

In the afternoon, embark on your first game drive in Maasai Mara, where golden plains stretch endlessly and the Big Five- lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, and rhinos-roam freely. Between July and October, the Great Migration transforms the landscape as over 1.5 million wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles cross the Mara River, braving crocodiles and predators in a dramatic quest for fresh grazing.

Expect thrilling predator-prey interactions: crocodiles lurking beneath the waters, waiting to ambush, while lions and hyenas line the riverbanks, ready to seize stragglers. Dust clouds rise, hooves thunder, and the chaos of survival unfolds in real-time-a scene unmatched in the natural world.

In the evening, return to camp for a hearty dinner and a night under the African sky.

Day 4: Full Day Safari in Maasai Mara National Reserve

Today is dedicated to a full-day exploration of the Maasai Mara, Kenya’s most iconic safari destination. With picnic lunch in hand, set off after breakfast for an extended game drive across diverse landscapes, from wide savannahs to the banks of the Mara River.

During the Great Migration, witness the awe-inspiring wildebeest river crossings, where drama unfolds at every turn as crocodiles lie in wait and predators track the movement of prey. The air is thick with tension as wildebeest hesitate at the river’s edge before plunging into crocodile-infested waters. Lions lurk nearby, hyenas circle, and scavengers wait to feast-this is the raw essence of a Big Five safari.

Even outside migration season, the Mara is home to abundant wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, zebras, hippos, and over 450 bird species. Your expert safari guide will navigate to the best wildlife viewing spots and later visit a traditional Maasai village, where you’ll gain insight into the culture, traditions, and the life style of the Maasai people.

Return to camp for dinner and one last night surrounded by the untamed beauty of the African bush.

Day 5: Maasai Mara to Nairobi – Departure

After breakfast, check out and begin the scenic return journey to Nairobi, marking the conclusion of your unforgettable Private safari in Kenya. Enjoy a final stop at a Great Rift Valley viewpoint, taking in sweeping vistas of Kenya’s highlands one last time.

Arrive in Nairobi in the afternoon with a drop-off at your city hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
