DAY 1: Nairobi to Taita Hills sanctuary

Your Kenya safari adventure begins with a morning pick-up from your Nairobi hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. After a warm safari briefing, depart in your private 4x4 Toyota Land Cruiser and head southeast through the rolling plains of Kenya, passing local towns and expansive landscapes en route to Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary.

Arrive at the charming Taita Hills Safari Resort & Spa in time for lunch. Set amid lush tropical gardens with views of the sanctuary, the resort combines safari ambiance with modern comforts. After a brief rest, embark on your first game drive within the private sanctuary.

Taita Hills is home to elephants, lions, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, and more. The sanctuary's location between Tsavo West and Tsavo East makes it a thriving corridor for wildlife, and the scenery includes wooded grasslands and rocky outcrops-ideal for photography safaris and birdwatching in Kenya.

Return to the resort for a delicious dinner and a peaceful evening surrounded by the sounds of nature.

DAY 2: Full Day Safari in Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary

Begin your day with a hearty breakfast before heading out for a full-day safari in the sanctuary. The day’s game drives are designed to give you a deeper exploration of the park, with a packed picnic lunch or optional return to the lodge for a midday meal and short rest.

Spot large herds of elephants wandering the plains and keep an eye out for the Big Five. The sanctuary is also known for its leopards and prides of lions that often lounge under acacia trees or patrol the open clearings. Birdwatchers will appreciate sightings of sunbirds, hornbills, and raptors soaring above.

This is a perfect day for photography safaris, with golden light illuminating the landscape and opportunities to capture wildlife action shots or peaceful moments by the waterholes.

As the sun sets, enjoy your final drive back to the resort, followed by dinner and time to unwind at the spa or lounge.

DAY 3: Taita Hills to Nairobi – Morning Views and Departure

Wake up to birdsong and a peaceful sunrise over the sanctuary. After breakfast, check out and begin your scenic drive back to Nairobi.

Your private 4x4 Land Cruiser takes you across the countryside, with chances for some last glimpses of wildlife along the way. Depending on your travel plans, you may enjoy an optional lunch and day room at a Nairobi hotel (available at extra cost) before your airport drop-off.
