DAY 1: NAIROBI TO AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK

Depart Nairobi in the morning for a scenic drive to Amboseli National Park. Traveling in a private 4x4 Land Cruiser, your journey takes you through Maasai countryside and open savannahs before reaching the park by midday. Arrive at Ol Tukai Lodge, nestled at the heart of Amboseli with uninterrupted views of Kilimanjaro-the highest peak in Africa.

After lunch, head out on your first game drive across Amboseli’s dusty plains. This park is famous for its large elephant herds, often seen marching in single file against the dramatic backdrop of snow-capped Kilimanjaro. Keep your camera ready for sightings of lions, cheetahs, giraffes, and an impressive range of birdlife. Birdwatching in Kenya reaches new heights here, with over 400 species recorded.

Return to the lodge for a relaxed evening and dinner, surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness.

DAY 2: AMBOSELI – FULL DAY GAME DRIVE, OBSERVATION HILL & MAASAI VILLAGE VISIT

Wake up to the beauty of Kilimanjaro as you prepare for a full day of exploration. Today’s game drive takes you deeper into Amboseli’s ecosystem in search of the Big Five and more. With either a picnic lunch enjoyed inside the park or a midday return to the lodge, your schedule is flexible to suit your preferences.

Venture into the swamps frequented by hippos and elephants, visit Observation Hill for sweeping views of the plains and wetlands, and discover the park’s thriving predator population including hyenas and lions. This is the perfect opportunity for photography safaris and immersive Kenya safari experiences.

In the afternoon, visit a local Maasai village. Experience traditional dances, learn about the Maasai’s way of life, and explore their manyattas (mud huts). This cultural interaction not only deepens your understanding of the region but also supports the local community. It's an enriching addition to your Kenya itinerary.

Return to Ol Tukai Lodge for dinner and a peaceful evening, perhaps enjoying a drink at the bar while watching elephants gather at the nearby swamp.

DAY 3: AMBOSELI TO NAIROBI- RETURN JOURNEY

Enjoy a relaxed breakfast at the lodge as you take in your final glimpses of Kilimanjaro and the wildlife-rich landscape. After check-out, begin your return drive to Nairobi, arriving in the afternoon.

Depending on your flight or travel plans, you may opt for an optional lunch and day room in Nairobi to freshen up before your airport transfer. End the tour with unforgettable memories of your elephant safari in Kenya, breathtaking Kilimanjaro views, and the timeless culture of the Maasai people.
