Day 1: Nairobi to Maasai Mara National Reserve

Meals: Lunch, Dinner | Stay: Sentrim Mara Lodge 

Begin your Kenya wildlife safari with a morning pick-up from your Nairobi hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. After a brief safari briefing, set off in a 4x4 Toyota Land Cruiser, traveling through the picturesque Great Rift Valley-a dramatic start to your journey across Africa.

Pause at a scenic viewpoint overlooking the valley’s vast floor, ideal for your first Kenya photography safari shots. Continue past farmland, escarpments, and traditional Maasai settlements until you arrive at Sentrim Mara Lodge in time for lunch.

In the afternoon, enjoy your first game drive in the Maasai Mara. This reserve is a cornerstone of Kenya safari packages, famous for its high density of wildlife and dramatic predator-prey scenes. Watch out for lions in the grass, elephants crossing the plains, and giraffes moving gracefully through the acacia trees.

Return to camp as the sun sets, relax with a hearty dinner, and enjoy the sounds of the African night around a warm fire.

Day 2: Maasai Mara – Full Day Game Drive, Mara River and Cultural immersion

After an early breakfast, set out with packed lunch for a full day of exploration inside the reserve. Today offers the chance to witness the legendary Great Wildebeest Migration if you're visiting during the best time to visit Kenya (typically July to October).

Follow the herds toward the Mara River, where dramatic crossings unfold as wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles attempt to navigate crocodile-filled waters. This is one of the highlights of any big cats safari or wildlife photography adventure.

Even outside the migration season, the reserve promises year-round game viewing with buffalo herds, cheetahs, hyenas, and over 470 bird species-a paradise for birdwatching in Kenya.

In the afternoon, visit a nearby Maasai village. Learn about the community’s customs, dances, and architecture through a guided tour that enriches your Kenya safari experience and supports local livelihoods.

Return to camp in the evening, where you can share stories over dinner and soak in the peaceful rhythm of the wild.

Day 3: Maasai Mara to Nairobi – Final Safari Moments and Return

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at Sentrim Mara and take in your final views of the savannah. After check-out, begin your drive back to Nairobi, once again passing through the scenic landscapes of the Great Rift Valley.

Depending on your flight time, you can opt for an optional lunch and day room at a Nairobi hotel to freshen up before your departure (available at extra cost).

You’ll be dropped off at your hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, ending your 3-day Kenya safari with memories of Big Five sightings, cultural discovery, and the thrill of the Maasai Mara.
