DAY 1: Nairobi to Amboseli National Park

Your adventure begins with a morning pick-up from your Nairobi hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. After a brief safari briefing, journey south through Kenya’s open plains and vibrant Maasai countryside toward Amboseli National Park. The drive offers an ideal opportunity to soak in the rural scenery and start your photography safari.

Arrive at Kibo Safari Camp, a charming eco-friendly tented camp nestled at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro. The camp offers stunning views of the mountain, spacious tents with en-suite bathrooms, and a peaceful natural setting that blends comfort with authenticity.

After lunch, embark on your first game drive through Amboseli’s sweeping plains. Keep your camera ready for elephants with enormous tusks, graceful giraffes, and predators like lions and cheetahs. The golden light of the late afternoon makes this a perfect time for photography safaris and spotting birds near the swamps.

Return to camp for dinner and unwind beneath a starry African sky.

DAY 2:Amboseli National Park – Full Day Safari & Kilimanjaro Sunrise Views

Wake up to the fresh Amboseli air and enjoy a hearty breakfast as the day begins. Today, you’ll explore the park in depth on a full day game viewing adventure designed to maximize your wildlife sightings and photo opportunities.

You have the option of heading out with a packed picnic lunch to enjoy in the heart of the park, surrounded by stunning scenery and free roaming wildlife, or returning to the lodge for lunch and then venturing back out for an afternoon game drive.

Amboseli’s open landscapes are ideal for spotting big game. Keep your eyes peeled for large elephant herds, lions resting beneath acacia trees, cheetahs scanning the savannah, and countless other species. Bird enthusiasts will delight in the diversity of avifauna, from graceful crowned cranes to flocks of vibrant bee eaters.

One of the highlights of the day is a visit to Observation Hill, a volcanic outcrop that offers panoramic views over the park’s swamps, savannahs, and even Kilimanjaro on clear days. It’s the perfect vantage point to appreciate Amboseli’s diverse landscapes and wildlife interactions.

In the afternoon, visit a traditional Maasai village for an authentic cultural experience. Learn about the customs, dances, and lifestyle of one of Kenya’s most iconic tribes, and support local artisans by browsing handmade beadwork and souvenirs.

DAY 3: Amboseli to Nairobi – Departure

Wake up to a beautiful African sunrise and enjoy a relaxed breakfast. Take in the last glimpses of Amboseli’s plains and its free-roaming elephants before checking out.

Your driver will escort you back to Nairobi, arriving in the early afternoon. If you have a later flight or ongoing travel plans, consider a day room and lunch at a Nairobi hotel (optional, at extra cost) before your airport transfer.
