Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi & Scenic Drive to Lake Nakuru National Park

Welcome to Kenya! Upon your arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you’ll be warmly greeted by our safari representative who will guide you through your first steps into East Africa’s wild heart. Board your 4x4 private safari Land Cruiser and begin your journey northwest, descending into the magnificent Great Rift Valley. A short stop at the Rift Valley escarpment viewpoint allows you to soak in sweeping vistas of the valley below-a photographer’s dream.

Continue to Lake Nakuru National Park, renowned for its shimmering soda lake and prolific birdlife. Upon arrival, enjoy a mid-morning game drive, where sightings of white rhinos, buffalo, baboons, and various bird species-especially flamingos and pelicans-are almost guaranteed. Break for lunch at the elegant Sarova Woodlands Hotel & Spa in Nakuru town. In the afternoon, return to the park for a second game drive. As the sun lowers over the Rift Valley, keep watch for lions lounging in the shade, Rothschild’s giraffes browsing the treetops, and leopards emerging for their evening patrols. Return to your hotel for dinner and a restful overnight stay.

DAYS 2–3: MAASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE – INTO THE WILD HEART OF KENYA

After breakfast, journey southwest to the Maasai Mara, Kenya’s most celebrated game reserve and home to one of the greatest wildlife spectacles on Earth. The drive takes you through the scenic countryside, past rural homesteads and vast savannahs. Arrive at Mara Serena Safari Lodge in time for lunch, your luxurious base perched atop a hill with commanding views over the Mara River and plains.

Spend the afternoon exploring the Mara on a game drive. The reserve is famed for its incredible concentration of wildlife, including all members of the Big Five-lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo-as well as cheetahs, hyenas, giraffes, and vast herds of wildebeest and zebra. Over the next two days, experience morning and evening game drives, soaking in the dramatic beauty of acacia-studded landscapes and golden plains.

Mara Serena Safari Lodge, with its Maasai-inspired architecture and warm hospitality, offers an unmatched immersion into the spirit of the wild. Days 4–5: Serengeti National Park – Into Tanzania’s Endless Plains

After breakfast, bid farewell to the Mara as you cross into Tanzania and drive to the world-renowned Serengeti National Park. Arrive at Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge in time for lunch. The lodge is elegantly situated high on a ridge, offering sweeping views across the boundless plains and perfectly positioned for prime wildlife viewing.

Spend two incredible days exploring the Serengeti’s vast landscapes, home to the largest terrestrial migration on Earth. Regardless of when you visit, the Serengeti never disappoints-its resident predators, including lion prides, elusive leopards, and high-speed cheetahs, are always on the hunt. You’ll also encounter a host of grazing animals like elands, impalas, Grant’s gazelles, and Topis.

The lodge itself is a masterpiece of organic design. Built from stone and thatch, it features traditional dome-shaped rondavels with private balconies overlooking the plains. When not on game drives, relax by the infinity pool or dine under the stars, enveloped by the sounds of the wild.

DAY 6-7: NGORONGORO CRATER – THE GARDEN OF EDEN

After breakfast, depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way, enjoy scenic views of the Serengeti’s rolling grasslands transitioning into the volcanic highlands. Arrive at the stunning Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge, built into the crater rim and cloaked in natural stone and vegetation, blending beautifully into the landscape. Enjoy lunch with views into the ancient caldera below.

Spend the afternoon relaxing or embark on an optional nature walk along the crater rim. The following day, descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest inactive and intact volcanic caldera. Within this lush ecosystem, you'll find an unparalleled density of wildlife, including elephants, hippos, zebras, hyenas, lions, and the rare black rhino. You may also choose to visit Olduvai Gorge-one of the most important paleoanthropological sites in the world-where the earliest human footprints were discovered.

DAY 8: TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK – THE ELEPHANT KINGDOM

Enjoy breakfast before heading to Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s hidden gems. Characterized by massive baobab trees and winding river systems, this park offers a more secluded safari experience. The Tarangire River is the park’s lifeblood, drawing animals from miles around during the dry season.

After a scenic picnic lunch, enjoy an afternoon game drive where you’re likely to see large elephant herds, along with oryx, giraffes, buffalo, and various bird species. Arrive at Nimali Tarangire in the evening, an exclusive tented camp nestled under acacia trees beside a dry riverbed. The camp offers a blend of rustic elegance and intimate luxury, far from the crowds. Enjoy a candlelit dinner under the stars and fall asleep to the sounds of the African night.

Days 9–10: Amboseli National Park – Kilimanjaro’s Backdrop

Start the day early with a breakfast and a transfer to the local airstrip for your flight back into Kenya, landing in Amboseli National Park. On arrival, you’ll be warmly welcomed and transferred to the Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge, beautifully set within the park with Mount Kilimanjaro towering majestically in the background.

Over the next two days, enjoy immersive game drives in Amboseli’s expansive plains, well known for their iconic elephants with impressively long tusks. From Observation Hill, take in 360-degree views of the park's marshes, plains, and distant mountains. In addition to elephants, you’ll likely encounter wildebeests, zebras, lions, and cheetahs.

The lodge’s location beside a seasonal marsh means wildlife is often visible right from the property. Activities may also include cultural interactions with the Maasai people, guided nature walks, and bush dining experiences, offering both adventure and cultural insight.

DAY 11: RETURN TO NAIROBI – DEPARTURE

After a final breakfast in the wild, enjoy a relaxed drive back to Nairobi. Arrive in the city in time for a hearty farewell lunch at the famous Carnivore Restaurant-known for its open-flame roasted meats and lively atmosphere.

Spend your afternoon at leisure, with optional dayroom access depending on your flight schedule. You may choose to explore a local market, relax at a hotel, or simply reflect on your safari adventure.

Later, your driver-guide will transfer you to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, assisting with your departure and reconfirmation of onward flights.
